MetroCare Dental Plan is NOT INSURANCE and is not intended to replace health insurance. This plan does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under M.G.L. c. 111M and 956 CMR 5.00. This plan is not a Qualified Health Plan under the Affordable Care Act. The range of discounts will vary depending on the type of provider and service. The plan does not pay providers directly. We offer a licensed Dental Savings Plan offered through your local dentistâ€™s office where plan members must pay for all services but will receive a discount from participating providers. The list of participating providers is at www.metrocaredentalplan.com. A written list of participating providers is available upon request. This discount plan is a 12 month long contract. You may upgrade your services at any time during the duration of the contract. However, you may only cancel within the first 30 days for a full refund of membership dues paid minus a $20 processing fee: As long as services were not received during that time. If services were received within 30 day period and you decide on cancelation: you are responsible, to dental office where services were received, for difference between discounted price and usual fee for all work received.
